sleep tips from a girl who loves bedtime
if you know me, you know that i LOVE to sleep.
Laying in my bed at night, turning on my favorite show, and relaxing, is one of the favorite things. There is so much peace and comfort that I get when I wind down my day.
I feel as though sleep is overlooked as an essential part of your mental health. People want you to “live it up” in your twenties and stay out late but you can live it up while still focusing on your sleep routine and mental health.
Here are some ways to change your sleep patterns and to focus on getting better sleep
limit your caffeine intake late in the day
make a sleep schedule & stick to it. try and go to bed at the same time every night.
listen to you body/mind, if you are yawning maybe it’s time to unwind and go to bed.
if you’re tossing and turning, relax and get a book until you’re felling more tired.
turn your air to a cooler temperature at night, your body will thank you.
exercise throughout the day, take a daily walk or a yoga class.
