2022 vision board check in
how are we already half way through 2022?
Last year, I decided to make myself a vision board of action items I wanted to achieve in the year of 2022. I have completed almost all of them!
My vision board consists of:
starting wedding planning
focusing on my relationship
focusing on my friendships
traveling
food health
fitness
Wedding planning has begun & it is so exciting !! Because we are getting married in 2024, some vendors books are not open yet which makes this process slow, steady, and relaxing. When Morgan & I talked about being engaged, we knew we wanted a long engagement. I wanted to cherish every moment of this time that we have together in this phase of life and that is exactly what we are doing. Also, because out wedding is so far out, we are able to talk more in depth about the dos and don'ts we want to incorporate in our wedding without all the added stress.
Focusing on my relationship and my friendships have been my favorite part of this year so far. I have lost friendships, but I have also gained and maintained friendships that are so close to me that I don’t regret a single thing that has occurred. It’s okay to grow apart from someone you’ve cherished and loved at one point, it’s okay to not have those friendships from childhood. As we change, our relationships change and I think that needs to be talked about more often.
Travel. Wow is this the year of travel for me. I recently got back from the Bahamas. In early June I traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for work & it was so fun and lively to be around that many business people while also having such a great time! Work hard - play harder, right? I am also going on a cruise with my best friend in august to Belize & I cannot wait. This will be the first girls trip we take together, just us and it’s going to be amazing. After not living together, graduating, and jobs, life has gotten so busy that this will be just what we are needing. Last but not least, I am planning on making a quick trip to Colorado to see my family.
Food health & fitness were the aspects of this vision board that I was most scared for. I am definitely not one for diet culture but changing my eating habits is what I needed to do for myself. I am a drive thru & eating out lover, especially after those long days at work when I don’t feel like cooking. Hello Fresh has completely changed that mindset. I have been getting two meals a week delivered to my house on Mondays & its been AMAZING. All the ingredients are shipped with it along with instructions and cook times. I don’t think I have ever made something that takes longer than 30 minutes! It has definitely helped my eating out & has really been such a good thing for Morgan & I to cook together.
As far as fitness goes. I would not be in the mindset and stage in my life without my personal trainer. Her name is Sarah Bowlin (@sarahhbowlin on Instagram)& she works at Wellness Warehouse. I found her through social media and she has been so great with pushing me to depths that I didn’t know were possible. Guiding me with such great instruction and showing me what I didn’t know my body was capable of. I don’t have specific fitness goals because moving my body is just what I am needing right now.
If you haven’t made a vision board for 2022, its not too late. Make one for your remaining six months and see all that you can do!
I hope you all reflect of how far you have come in just 6 months and all that you have achieved. I am proud of each and everyone of you for doing what you are doing. Keep it up & lets finish the rest of this year strong !!
