three realistic resolutions for 2023

how about in 2023 we actually make some resolutions we can achieve? lose weight, eat healthy, make more money…. and then march comes and life happens and we put it all on the back burner because we are too busy. we stress ourselves out because we feel the need to stick to something that isn’t making us happy.

what we really need to do is break down the things we love in life to make them better for ourselves and more achievable. why not choose something that will bring us joy, laughter, and more?

Keep the things you love close to you

  1. write out your favorite hobbies along with what you need to do this hobby

  2. get a journal, acgknowledge the important things in your life

  3. do your morning and night routines, have you time every day

  4. talk a walk, get fresh air and sunlight to break up your day

  5. schedule time for yourself

  6. plan date nights with your friends, family, and partners

  7. have fun

Manage your finances

I took a financial class in 2022 that was about 12 weeks long & it really put things into perspective for me. Paying off debt was a #1 priority for me and has been something my partner and I have been putting priority on.

  1. print out 4 months worth of financial statements

  2. create buckets, put every single thing you have bought into those buckets

    1. example buckets: rent, grocery, beauty, car, shopping, travel, pets, kids, etc.

  3. make a spending plan, how much of each bucket do you want to spend?

  4. plan out how to pay off the one thing that is causing you the most stress

  5. start increasing your savings account

  6. understand your retirement plan and perks w/ your job

Book a dream, fun vacation for the year

  1. create a list of dream places that are in budget

  2. what kinds of things do you want to do there?

  3. beach, lake, mountains?

  4. create a group chat with who you want to bring and get opinions and wants

  5. take vacation off of work
