wedding update #1

I would like to first say, thank gosh for our wedding planner!

I would not know where to start, what to do, or how to do it. She is the best person for the job & the best personality to bring to our special day together! If you’re engaged, thinking about getting engaged, or just curious about it all… reach out to Taylor Paige @ The Perfect Touch KC & will be so glad you did.

I actually messaged Taylor Paige about four months into Morgan & I dating. I told her that I was going to marry this girl and that whenever the day comes that I get engaged, that she will be the one to plan my wedding. & here we are!

Anyways, back to the scheduled programming.

WE SET A DATE! I was never the girl that has a dream wedding in her mind, but I was always the girl that had a specific date in mind. I have always wanted to get married on the anniversary my partner & I have. For Morgan and I, that date is March 2nd.

We will become wives on March 2nd, 2024. EEEEKKKK.

You’re probably thinking, “Erin… why the heck are you taking so long to get married?” why the heck not! I feel like society puts this thing in everyone’s mind that as soon as you get engaged, you need to start planning your wedding and get married a year later. No thank you… Morgan & I are still so thrilled to be engaged even after almost a year. If we plan on being together forever, why does it matter when we get married? It doesn’t!

Since we have the date, the next step was to find the venue. We wanted to find a venue with both indoor and outdoor spaces, amazing light, handicap access, city views, smoking access, and of course a chandelier. Taylor found us two venues to consider that were both amazing & definitely made up have to think deep on each of them.

VENUE 1

Pros:

-amazing light

-large bar

-three levels

-intimate but large enough

Cons:

-parking availability

-no get ready rooms for both of us

VENUE 2

Pros:

-moody venue

-amazing bar package

-three separate areas

-atmosphere

Cons:

-walk by alley to get to outside area

-furniture has to stay

We decided to go with venue one - The Bardot & we could not be more grateful and excited to dig more into this planning process to see our visions come true! I can’t wait to share more with you :)
